شبه الجملة الفعلية هو تركيب في اللغة الانجليزية يتآلف من فعل يتبعه حرف آو آكثر يعمل كوحدة نحوية و معنوية متكاملة

A phrasal verb is a combination of a verb and one or two particles. Particles and prepositions look the same, but particles change the meaning of the verb. Phrasal verbs are commonly used in informal speech; there is usually a more formal verb that has the same meaning. For example, select is considered more formal than pick out. The following is a list of some commonly used phrasal verbs. In many cases, there is more than one meaning for a phrasal verb.

Separable Phrasal Verbs The noun may come either between the verb and the preposition OR after the preposition e.g. He looked the information up. or He looked up the information.

** If a pronoun is used, it always comes between the verb and the preposition. e.g. He looked it up.
Nonseparable Phrasal Verbs (highlighted below) The noun or pronoun must follow the preposition.

e.g. I looked after my sister. I looked after her.                        s.o.= someone s.o.= something

ask out  : to invite someone for a date in a romantic or platonic sense  

ask for : to tell someone you want  something

call off : to cancel  a previously  made arrangement  \ a meeting - a demonstration   

call  on :  to visit someone \ ask  a student to speak in the class 

catch up with :  to reach  the same level as colleagues after missing work or class 

check in : to register  at a hotel 

check out : to borrow something from library \ book  dvd 

check out of : to leave a hotel , motel 

check up on : to make sure something is done correctly by someone

cheer up :  to make someone feel better 

clean up : to make clean 

come across :  to meet someone without prior arrangement 

come up with :  to think  of an idea , a plan or solution 

count on :  to need someone to do something important , to need something important to happen 

a cross out : to draw  a line  through \  delete an error on a print document 

cut out : to stop an irritating activity
